Terms of Use

These terms describe your use of Pie Menu, its website, and its optional online services, provided by Knauken AS, Norway. Contact us at contact@pie-menu.com with questions about these terms or the app.

Using Pie Menu

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pie Menu for your personal or business purposes, subject to your purchase or subscription and the applicable distribution platform’s usage rules. Pie Menu and its branding remain the property of Knauken AS or their respective owners. You retain ownership of your own content.

Use Pie Menu lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not redistribute or resell the app without permission, bypass access controls, or use our services to distribute malicious content or interfere with other users. These restrictions do not limit uses permitted by applicable law or licenses for third-party components.

Purchases, subscriptions, and Setapp

The price, included features, trial conditions, and billing period shown at purchase apply to your plan. App Store purchases are processed by Apple and are also subject to Apple’s applicable terms and license agreement. Access through Setapp is governed by your Setapp subscription and Setapp’s terms; it does not require a separate Pie Menu purchase.

Manage subscriptions, cancellations, and refund requests through the platform where you obtained access. Subscription renewal follows the conditions shown by that platform. These terms do not remove any statutory cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights, or reduce rights included in an existing purchase.

Your menus and shared content

You are responsible for the shortcuts and actions you configure and for reviewing content before importing or running it. Check what an action will do, particularly when it can change or delete information. Keep backups of important settings and files.

If you choose to publish content through our services, only share material you have the right to share, and leave out private information. You retain ownership and give us a non-exclusive license to store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate the sharing service. Other users may download and use it for their own purposes. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content.

You can remove your public submissions using the available removal controls or by contacting support. Removing a submission does not recall copies already downloaded by others. We may restrict or remove content that is unlawful, infringes rights, contains private information or malware, or disrupts the service. Contact us if you believe a removal was mistaken.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Pie Menu and its services. Apple, Setapp, and other external services have their own policies for the services they provide.

Availability and updates

We maintain and improve Pie Menu, but cannot promise that it or every third-party integration will always be available or error-free. Compatibility can depend on macOS and other applications. We may update features or online services for technical, security, or legal reasons, subject to our obligations to you. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect paid access where required.

Responsibility and your rights

Each party is responsible for its obligations under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer protections, including rights relating to defective digital products and services. Your rights under an applicable purchase agreement or distribution platform’s terms continue to apply.

Changes and questions

We may revise these terms to reflect changes to Pie Menu or applicable requirements. The current version and its effective date will be published here. We will provide notice of material changes where required and obtain consent where necessary. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have.

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence. Contact contact@pie-menu.com first if you have a complaint so we can try to resolve it. Nothing here limits your right to use an available consumer complaints body or a court with jurisdiction.
