Themes and community sharing

Requires Pie Menu 2.0 or later on macOS 13 or later. Install or update through the App Store or Setapp, then choose “Open in Pie Menu” again.

Import a theme or menu

  1. Browse themes or community menus and open a submission.
  2. Choose “Open in Pie Menu” and allow your browser to open the app.
  3. Follow the import prompts in Pie Menu. Importing a menu for an app you already configured asks before replacing its shortcuts. Export your settings first if you want to keep a backup.

Menus may include scripts or actions that open apps and URLs. Review a setup and its actions before running them. The page also offers the JSON for inspection or download.

Share an app’s menu

Open Settings, select the app whose menu you want to share, and choose “Share Config…”. Add a name, an optional description and public author name, then review the preview and choose Share. Copy the resulting link to share it.

Custom icons are optional. Only include icons you have the right to redistribute, and check the menu for private URLs, script contents, or other information you do not want to publish.

Share a theme

In Settings → Appearance, select a custom theme and choose “Share Theme…”. To share a built-in theme, first create a copy with the + button. Review the preview, choose a name, and share.

Update or remove a share

Use the Shared control next to a published menu or theme to copy its link, view it on the web, update it, or unshare it. Local changes do not change the public version until you update the share.

Unsharing removes the public listing. It cannot recall files that someone else already downloaded. Keep the app’s sharing credentials to manage your submissions; contact support if you lose access.

If a link does not open

Check that Pie Menu 2.0 or later is installed, open the app once, then try the link again. If you have both App Store and Setapp editions installed, macOS may open the other edition. Keep the edition you use up to date.

Use “Report this theme” or “Report this shortcut” on its page. Include what is wrong and the submission link. See our privacy policy for how sharing data is handled.
